Actor
I began acting, singing and dancing at a young age. I was working in professional theatre by the time I was eleven, and I enjoyed an exciting career as a child actor (both musicals and straight plays). I've worked at various theatres around the Twin Cities area including Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Children's Theatre Co, Old Log Theater, Guthrie Theater, Stages Theatre Co, Youth Performance Co and Duck Soup Players. For more details, check out my resume.
Directing
My most challenging project behind the scenes involved students from my high school. We collectively wrote, directed and produced an original musical for the MN Fringe Festival in the summer of 2007. The show was titled The Vinyl Diary and I wrote much of the music. Through this very stressful experience, I learned a lot about what goes into producing a successful show. I enjoy directing immensely and hope to pursue it in graduate school.
Collaborative Arts
Since moving to Seattle, my theatre experience has been rather limited. I enjoyed a temporary gig at ACT Theatre as a fundraiser, and I've been playing in various pit orchestras.
I removed my outdated head-shot and resume from the site, since I am no longer pursuing employment as an actor. However, I'm still very interested in gaining experience as a director and collaborator of new works. Fall of '09 I'm taking "Interdisciplinary Arts Workshop" which is a class that blurs the lines between the various artistic disciplines. I hope to gain new insight into how I can bridge my passion for music with my interest in theatre.
